Privacy Notice
Last updated: August 26, 2026
This notice explains how Taylor Groce, operating Family Bridge (“we”, “us”), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data — and the rights you have over it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Family Bridge is operated by Taylor Groce, who acts as the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. That means we decide how and why your data is processed. You can reach us at supportfamilybridge@gmail.com.
2. What we collect and why
- Account data — your name, email address, and login credentials, used to create and secure your account (legal basis: contract performance).
- Content you add — calendar events, journal entries, checklists, check-ins, recordings, and messages you choose to store in the member tools, used solely to provide those tools to you (legal basis: contract performance).
- AI chat conversations — messages you send to The Steady Guide, our AI feature, processed by our AI provider solely to generate a response. These conversations are not stored in your account or used to train AI models (legal basis: contract performance and legitimate interests).
- Support messages — correspondence when you contact us, used to respond and help you (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- Usage and device data — telemetry, device identifiers, and IP address, used for security, fraud prevention, and improving the service (legal basis: legitimate interests).
- Marketing preferences — if you opt in to updates, used to send them (legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
Payment details are collected and processed directly by Paddle, our Merchant of Record — we never see or store your full card details.
3. Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, analytics, AI processing, and support tooling providers that help us run the service, bound by data-processing terms.
- Paddle (Merchant of Record) — for the sale of memberships, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers where needed.
- Authorities — where we are required to share data by law (legal basis: legal obligation).
4. How long we keep data
We keep your personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your member content.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data, which may include: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection to processing, and withdrawal of consent. If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority. We respond to requests within one month. To exercise any right, email supportfamilybridge@gmail.com.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to protect your data.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security so member content is only visible to its owner (and, for co-parent messaging, the invited participant).
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies and storage to keep you signed in and make the service work. Where analytics or marketing cookies are used, you can manage your preferences through your browser settings. Essential cookies cannot be disabled without affecting core functionality.
9. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top shows the current version, and continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated notice.
